Hi there.
I’m Tracey Piccoli (Olive) and I was born and raised on Galibal, Bundjalung Country, Casino, Northern NSW.
I have created and painted in one form or another all of my life. From an early age I was always interested in watching and learning from my family around me which has seen me hone many of those finer skills today from those early years.
For me, painting and creating is a way to calm my busy mind and it also allows me to connect to my Country by telling the stories I see in my everyday life. I can draw inspiration from the littlest of things such as seeing a magpie sitting on the fence while im hanging the washing out through to watching Country heal after a major flooding event.
I enjoy painting on any surface, acrylic on canvas, linens, and paperbark. Watercolours on paper, Ochre foraging, mixing and painting. Everything is relevant and a new and exciting adventure.
