Tracey Piccoli (nee Olive) is a contemporary Indigenous artist who aspires to create work that connects us to one another and to her Country - Bundjalung - Northern Rivers, NSW.
Her emergent practice combines pattern, colour and immense detail to reflect her own personal stories.
Using acrylic, ochre, watercolour, paperbark, linen and canvas, Tracey’s work is inspired by the everyday joys, nature and surroundings and of her unique journey as an Indigenous woman.
“I am constantly inspired by the Country and people around me. From the rivers, mountains and beaches and everything in between I find a daily source of new views”
"We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we meet and work and to my people, of the beautiful Bundjalung nation which allow me to paint in a way from how you tell me your stories"
